Welcome to Rutgers-Camden. Your student has worked hard to get here, and so have you.

A short, honest guide for the parents, guardians, and supporters of incoming Rutgers-Camden students — what your student is doing this summer, how college works, and how to be the steadiest version of yourself this fall.

This course is designed for you — the supporters who are cheering them on, worrying about the right things, and wondering how you can help without getting in the way.

Over the next four sections, we will walk you through what your student is doing this summer to prepare for fall, how college finances work, who is looking out for them on campus, and how you can be the most effective support system from where you are.

The short version: your student has a team at Rutgers-Camden. Your job is to trust that team, trust your student, and be the steady presence at home. This course will help you do exactly that.
